This evening I’m guest presenting at a business class of MBA students at the University of Memphis. I enjoy speaking with people who are working on their futures. If you know me, you also know I most love group involved presentations/discussions versus the solo presenter with a powerpoint (though I’ve done multitudes of them). You may also know that I’m not at all impressed with titles and about 99% of credentials, including an MBA. I’m more affected by you being able to share, apply this knowledge, share some more, and inspire. I’ve not always thought this way. I used to attend the church of title worship, but it burned me.
The talking points of my time this evening includes:
Social platforms:
- Public:Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, G+
- Enterprise: SocialCast, Yammer
Social participation:
- Lurkers
- Creators
- Critics
- Curators

- Social affirmation
- Caution the Echo-chamber

I reached out to my connections on Twitter about what to share and they add the following:
Christy_Herself: You are always going to have that grouch working with you no matter where it is.
Malinda_B: the importance of networking offline AND online
CliffMcKinney: “http://workforpie.posterous.com/53597949 Don’t let “the way things ARE done” get in the way of “the way things SHOULD BE done.”
(If you’re on twitter, follow this folks :-) their molecular ingredients include 100% pure awesomeness!)
